The Great White debuted in late 2022 and sold out all three drops.
The 42mm version is the newest 42mm in the lineup. It’s named after the famous shark and its creamy white underside coloring. The initials "JTR" salute Iraq War vet Josh R., who is such a badass we can't use his last name. Josh was our very first customer and came to us with the idea of a dive piece with white dial and red sweep hand. We loved the idea and it's been one of our best sellers. The Great White 42 looks fantastic with either blue or black bezel inserts, (but we are particularly fond of the blue.) The JTR uses the same case, bracelet and movement as the Blacktip 42, but the dial is a slightly off-white cream, with cream markers and baton hands. And, of course, the awesome red pip on the sweep hand.

This one has become my favorite. I love the aluminum bezel. The red becomes iridescent in the sunlight. Ceramic is still great but the aluminum bezel is something special.
I loved my Blacktip Standard so much that a couple months later, I ordered a Great White 42. Both are beautiful watches and are exceptionally well made. Monterey Watches is a rare company. When you call, you actually get to speak to the owner. Tim seems to be a nice guy who genuinely cares about his customers. Go ahead and order one but be careful because it probably won't be your last.
Love this watch. Super high quality for the price and looks even better than it did online. It will not be my last Monte!!!
This is a gorgeous, well made and significant statement watch. I like a big, heavy watch and this does the trick. It looks like a watch by my formerly favorite watch company that costs 30x as much.
