Yeah you read that right! My third MWC now and I’m so impressed with this elegant and classy timepiece!
The watch came while I was on vacation. When I got home and opened the box I was generally pleased with the look, weight and overall presentation. I watched the video about sizing the bracelet. But, when I wanted to try on the watch, I couldn’t get the clasp to open. It seemed “stuck”. The small holding clasp opened easily, but not the rest of the band. I sent an email to “Charlie” as suggested but have had no response. I’ll let that pass because like everyone else she may be on vacation.
Bottom line: watch looks good but the band, although high quality, is extremely difficult to open. At this point I’m considering returning it because I can’t use it if I can’t get it open.

Tim from Monterey contacted me almost immediately after the above review. He sent a video showing how to resolve the tight clasp issue. It took about 156 minutes to fix.
NEW THOUGHTS: First, this watch has quickly become a favorite. Clearly this watch is a Rolex homage. I have an old Rolex that needs repair and the estimate exceeds $2k! I now have a worthy replacement - not a knock off- at less than 10% of the repair cost. The bracelet is of highest quality construction and the links were easy to remove. (If you do your own, its best to have the proper tools.) Second, I had sent a text to Tim on New Year's day telling him his video was helpful and guess what: He called me back! ON New Year's Day! Although I never had any doubts about service, that is now a non-issue.
At this point, the only issue I have is that this watch is so nice, I'm afraid I may need another in the not distant future.
Great watch and fantastic bracelet. Bezel is a bit shinier than I expected.
This watch falls into the Unisex category for Monterey Watch Co. and as a woman I love wearing it! It has a nice heavy feel on my arm but isn't oversized. It comes with a lot of links, so my jeweler had to take out about four to get the right fit. The jeweler was very impressed with the quality of the watch. It's also kinetically charged, so no more battery worries. The clasp is a little tricky (I'm told it is a Rolex style clasp) but part of that is me just getting used to it.
The shipping and packaging were excellent. Very nice case and included materials. Excellent price for the quality.
