The 442 Adventurer

This is my first Monterey watch purchase, but I don't think it will be my last. The 442 has rugged minimalist good looks and reminds me of a Sinn watch (but at a fraction of the price). It is also versatile enough that you can wear it in a variety of settings. Tim is a pleasure to work with and seems to care about each customer. One thing that blows me away is how accurate the watch is for an automatic at this price point...the watch had already been regulated to within chronometer specifications when it arrived:) My watch loses about 3 or 4 seconds per day on the wrist. However, if I place it face up on the night stand when I go to bed at night it gains back those 3 or 4 seconds....so the watch stays remarkably accurate.

Received the watch sooner than expected and opened the package to discover personalized Thank You messages. The watch quality and design exceeds my expectations and has become my everyday watch! Thank you!!

Watch works well, decent finishing for the price, nice bracelet. Definitely liked the handwritten thank you and bonus straps, cool touches from a US small business!

So I came across the MWC watch line via Facebook. The name is what caught my attention as I spent a majority of my life in the Monterey, California area. I looked at the selection and was intrigued by the look. It wasn't until I read a previous review on the 442 by a person who posted the one with the red letter "M", red bezel, and the blue and white stripe NATO that won me over. Love at first sight you might say. I contacted Tim inquiring about that specific model and the response and service I received more than won me over. I had to have the watch and I'm glad I ordered it. I know there's a lot of micro-brands out there trying to look like a Rolex, this never struck me that way. The coloration of the bezel is beautiful and it just flat out looks like a quality piece of art on the wrist. I know I will be ordering other models in the future. One other thing, learning just a little bit about watch making from Tim and being sent references to learn more about just shows me he's a quality person who loves watches just as much, if not more, than any of us collectors who caught the watch bug. Thank you for producing a beautiful timepiece Tim! OK, fine, one more thing - THE LUME!!! I tested the lume using my blacklight and was blown away by the brightness! I love it. I have more expensive timepieces that do not measure up to the lume on the MWC 442 Pilot/Diver... OK, I'm done raving about this watch :-).
