The EBC Kit - a special package to help with the rebuilding of Thame, Nepal.
On August 16, 2024 the tiny village of Thame Nepal was completely destroyed by the bursting of several glacial lakes. The village lost almost all infrastructure along with 90% of the homes. They will need to move to a new location and completely rebuild.
Many of you know that our first Brand Ambassador, Lakpa Rita Sherpa, is a record setting alpinist who has summited Everest 17 times. His brother Kami holds the record for most Everest summits.
Thame is their home village. Monterey's own Angela Duff visited Thame in April, and trekked along with Lakpa to Everest Base Camp that month on our sponsored Monterey trek.
On August 16th, my village was hit by a severe flash flood caused by the outburst of glacier lakes. The devastation has been immense, with homes destroyed and vital infrastructure washed away. We are seeking donations to help with immediate relief efforts and long-term rebuilding projects.
Every contribution, no matter the size, will go directly towards the families impacted by the flood. I will personally go to Nepal and distribute the fund in cash to them directly.
