I really like the accuracy and build quality of the watch. For a 40mm, it is quite small on the wrist. If i had to do it over again, I would purchase a different model…perhaps the Clark Kent or Alfred. The bezel seems to be a bit larger on those. The materials and build quality is good though.
Ok — this is my second Monterey Watch. Not sure I need to say more. But, I really do love the look and feel of this watch. Classy and elegant, but still rugged.
I used to think I wanted a Rolex Explorer- not anymore- this EBC is stunning looking and quality just oozes forth from its gorgeous lines. Feels like it’s worth at least 3x its price point.
I received my EBC (white with cyclops) in the USPS and have worn it a few times. The bracelet was easy to size--you just need a proper screwdriver and a toothpick or punch to push out the loosened screw. The watch is very good looking and the NH movement is keeping good time so far, even though it is new. The watch has a good heft to it and feels great on my wrist. The only thing I would suggest improving is the lume on the hands. It is not early as strong as the lume on the markers. I normally wear a watch to bed and charge the lume for a minute or three under an LED bulb right before I crash, and on my Seiko and Orient dive watches that quick charge will keep the dial readable until dawn. On this watch, the lume on the hands faded pretty quickly. As a North Carolinian, I love the "N. Carolina" on the dial and I am delighted to spend my money with a small business in Swannanoa, which was hit so hard by Hurricane Helene in September 2024. Dealing with Tim has been a pleasure and we exchanged some humorous banter via email. I will certainly consider a Monterey for my next watch purchase!
