This thing is a black-out bully with a dial darker than your last bad decision. The Capo D’Acqua Obsidian doesn’t “sit” on the wrist — it squats there like it owns your arm. Internal bezel, twin-crown attitude, steel case that looks like it was milled out of an anchor — this thing screams deep-water ego and zero-f**ks finesse. The lume punches through the darkness like headlights in a tunnel, and the whole watch gives off the same energy as a diver lighting a cigar on the surface after resurfacing from 200 meters just because he can.
This is my second Monterey watch (I also own the excellent Sea Siren), so knew how good this would be. It’s a fine looking watch - the dial is a beautiful black sunburst design, which catches the light nicely. Bracelet is high quality, and the watch is superbly regulated - mine is very accurate on the Timegrapher. Looks great with jeans and a T shirt, but equally at home with a smarter shirt and jacket. Absolute bargain at the price and has relegated a number of my (way more expensive) Swiss watches to the depths of my watch box. A great buy.
The 2 crowns plus the internal bezel make this watch unique. The dial with the burst design is very visible. Total package! Beautiful watch. Thanks Tim and crew!
