The 2025 EPIC Award

The Unnamed Heroes of EPIC 2025: A Global Force for Good

Monterey Watch Company is thrilled to announce the recipient of our 2025 EPIC Award!

Unfortunately, we can't name them.

The EPIC Award, which stands for Extraordinary Performance, Impact, and Contribution, recognizes service units that go above and beyond. The competition this year was truly global, drawing applications from military, law enforcement, first responders, and similar service organizations across the world. While the program was initially leveraged to the market as "Project T" during its formation, it was formally named the EPIC Award in the early fall. The Review Panel studied over 40 applications this year, making the selection of a single winner fiercely competitive.

The EPIC Award (Extraordinary Performance, Impact, and Contribution) is a global award presented by Monterey Watch Company that recognizes line-of-duty service units - such as military, law enforcement, and first responders—for their exceptional  positive community impact. It honors teams that embody the "Force of Good" by building trust, safety, structure, and understanding in the community(ies) they serve.

Our recipient this year is a truly remarkable—and (unfortunately) anonymous—team within the US Armed Forces. They are the global experts of "doing good," deploying across the globe to make the world better. They are so impactful, so committed to humanitarian work, and so generally badass that we've been politely asked (read: strongly advised) to keep their identities a complete secret. But what they do is no secret. In fact, it's a point of pride.

We distributed 15 Blacktip Standard Pro Divers to our unnamed heroes on 13 October, 2025.

Building Bridges, Building Trust

This team perfectly embodies the "Force of Good." We’re not talking about a traditional military footprint here; their primary impact is constructive.

Their accomplishments are legion, and their influence is lasting. They are the ultimate benefactors: building essential roads, schools, and bridges. To ensure deep cultural integration and effectiveness, these personnel commit to intensive language school before deployment. They serve as key translators and consensus builders, transforming conflict zones into communities ready for peace. The good they do has a lasting, positive impact in every country where they deploy.

They are so impactful, in fact, that we’ve been asked to keep their names under wraps to protect their ability to operate without bias. Think of them as the world's most capable, mysterious philanthropists.

The Commemorative Award They Can’t Brag About

To honor their exemplary global service, a special distribution was arranged on October 13th, 2025, at their primary operating location. Each member of the winning group received a Monterey Blacktip Standard Pro timepiece. Each award, engraved with their internal unit logo on the caseback, is a subtle, high-quality sign of thanks that only they and we know the true meaning of.

To the service members who represent the "Force of Good" on every map point: your dedication, leadership, and courage inspire us all. Congratulations on this well-deserved recognition from Monterey Watch Company. Thank you for setting a standard of service that is truly EPIC.

We really wish we could share names and faces...but, alas, no.

Finally, a huge thank you to the unit leader who submitted the compelling application—you know who you are!

With thanks,
