I ordered this watch based on a photo and recommendation from a friend. The service was fast and courteous. But the watch was beyond my expectation. The green face is a beautiful shade, the workmanship is comparable to many watches in the $1,000 to $1,500 range (including a crown that is a joy to wind) and the leather watch band was especially delighting. I am a band snob and hard to satisfy. This band is made of thick, high grade leather with a substantial and solid clasp. Highly recommended.

I got the new dial with the text logo and added a riveted 22mm leather pilot strap. It is a real looker.
This is my second watch from Monterey Watch and again they knocked it out of the park.
Perfect watch for a day trip drive or a weekend away with family or friends. The fit and finish is outstanding and the dial is something you have to see in person. Having a true Flieger Crown is a very nice touch as well. Means you can wind the watch with gloves on if you need to.
Since it's a old school mechanical watch you will develop a relationship with the watch because you will have to wind it but that's a great thing. But then it just goes about it's business of being the coolest watch you own.
